Snipe - Common

This small but attractive bird is usually seen around lakes and wetland areas. They are easier to see in the winter when the ground is frozen. One of the best places where we have taken photographs is Greylake RSPB reserve in Somerset. In the winter they can be seen looking for food away from the frozen ponds.
