Woodlark (Lullula arborea)


The numbers of these birds are declining in many parts of Europe. They like open country and woodland glades with bare ground, grass heather or bracken. It like fence posts for song posts. In the North it will migrate but it is resident in the south of the UK.. It feeds on insects and seeds. It will lay 3 - 5 eggs which will hatch after 12 days
