Wren

Wren (Troglodytes troglodytes)

One of the most smallest and most common birds in the UK yet notoriously difficult to photograph. It is mainly resident in the UK but those in the north do migrate. It eats insects especially beetles and spiders. The nests are built by the male, the female will then choose her nest and line it ready for the 5 - 8 eggs that will be laid. Eggs hatch after 17 days
